Sara has a BA from Otterbein University (with a degree in public relations and a minor in music) and she earned her Masters in Divinity from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio in Delaware.   After serving as a Provisional Elder for 2 years, Sara was ordained as an elder and received as a member in full connection at the West Ohio UMC Annual Conference in June, 2019.  Previously Sara served as a Licensed Local Pastor while in seminary.  She served at Marysville First United Methodist Church and as an Associate Pastor at Crossword United Methodist Church in Marion in 2015-2016.  Sara met her amazing husband, Joe, while at Otterbein and they have been married since 1995.  Joe is a physical education teacher at Marysville High School.  They have 4 fabulous children; twin daughters, Kayla and Shelby, who are both in college, and two sons, Logan (who is in High School) and Brody (who is in middle school) .
